Just Another Person Trying To Change The World

I am not a regular writer or anything but sometimes there are subjects which baffle you so much that you have to express what you feel and that, exactly, is what im trying to do here so please cope with me.

I am sure you are all familiar with a certain game called "bluewhale" and what are its disastrous consequences because now everyday there is one case published in the newspaper of parents who lost their beloved child to this monstrous game and in reality who knows how many of such cases actually make it to the news. Being a regular person i had many questions in my mind some of which i am going to list down here:

Why would anyone in the first place make such a game? what sort of a sick person are you to create such a game and then blackmail as well? What had the poor children done to you? you were once a child, what if the same had happened to you or your sibling? Why are the children falling prey to such things?  Why are they not knowing that self harm is not good for them? Some may argue that its their body, their choice and okay fair argument but had your mother thought the same, while carrying you in her womb, what then? Why are the kids so afraid to open up to their parents and tell them about what is truly happening?

An answer to the last question could be that they are not comfortable opening up to their parents. According to me, if instead of scolding the kid on his/her mistakes, if we try making them understand then maybe they will open up. It's a long process, but it's worth a shot.
Because i have tried this and kids open up to me, i teach them but i also try to guide them and now i know what they think and what they want to express but they do not have enough trust on their family to express it to.

bluewhale is just one of the many evils of today.

i would like to tell an incident that happened a few days ago, i was teaching a kid about gender, caste and religion, a student of 10th standard. i quoted a very simple example that for the same food to cook, a women gets paid nothing while if a man is offered a job he gets a good salary.. for cooking the same food! What followed next left me shook.
The kid replied that 'ye to kartavya hai aurat ka' (that this is the duty of a woman) and then he added that if it were for my wife i would have scolded her if she wasn't cooking, i would even beat her.. he realized what he had just said and then took the words back and i, for one, am very sensitive about such topics because i have been brought up to respect the person i am and respect every gender. So, unable to help myself, i asked him straight up if this is what happened at his house. I was deeply disappointed to know that what the current generation is struggling to bring to light, an egalitarian world, our future generations mock.

Adding to that, while i was teaching about caste, i found out some kids' views that the lower forms of caste are bhangis (menial workers) and they spoke in such a derogatory way that i had to intervene and ask whether the "bhangis" and they, were, in any way different? because i for one have the same anatomy like them - a heart to pump blood, a pair of eyes, ears, lungs, kidneys etc. and they didn't have an answer for me.

A kid boasts about how he has two significant others and when i asked that what if they get to know, he says they won't, they're miles apart.

I am not sure what should i think about our future, should i be worried? because these kids of today are our tomorrow and if their thinking is such then somewhere we are going wrong.
The evils we are trying to fight are somehow inculcating themselves in our future generations and it is alarming.

Why aren't the kids being taught to be a better person, a better human? why are kids not acknowledging our moral values? Why do they feel that they cannot open up? I haven't even touched the subjects of child abuse, sex Education and more. But it is high time we start thinking and acting upon our ideas.

There is no denying that not all of them are the same, of course not. But for the ones who are heading down this direction, there is hope left and WE as their guardians can make a change.

I request you all to please spread the word and if you spot any child who is in any trouble, please try and help them. Kids, they only need a helping hand, please be that helping hand to them. Our future lies with them and our actions shape them.

Thank You.
